Celebrating Memorial Day

Well, the day has only just begun, but I started it by taking a "turn" around our back yard. It rained last night, so these flowers were freshened-up; the colors are right out of the camera. I used my monopod.
I like that iris can be abstract with the right macro view.

A new blossom to our yard this year, the lantana. Each of these mulitcolored "pillows" is about 1 1/2 inches across.

These are gorgeous! I love that last flower! The colors seem to just fade off into the next, SO COOL! :)

Your colors are so gorgeous! The last flower is incredible - so pretty and unique. The first one reminds me of a Georgia O'Keefe painting. Very nice.

Yummy ML! Alright specifics-how long do I have to wait for a lantana to bloom-I'll head to the garden center if you tell me within the year!

That lantana is one of our favorite flowers, it keeps on blooming like that all the way into autumn. Was it in your own garden? Great pictures!!
