Beach-combing doesn't require one to always be looking down.

It is always exciting to spot a Big Blue Heron on inland waterways and lakes.
Here on the surf's edge, fishing was good for a whole family, and it was great to see several in one place, though a little demeaning for them, as they were as plentiful as seagulls:

Nice herons! You got a good lift-off shot. I know there were several, but for me it was a thrill to see that many in one place. Must've been a popular diner.
My favorite picture is the last blue heron with the turquoise water. You are so gifted at composition; and your love of the subject always comes through in the translation.
