Some Cutie-pie faces from the San Diego Zoo

Since returning home, I haven't even had time to look at all my pics. But I did see these right off at download time. These are sooc. My dson-in-law loaned me his monopod, which up until then I had thought pretty much useless. Now I don't leave home without it! I used it throughout the zoo. I have to return it, and today my dh said for me to pick out a monopod for my birthday!

Driving through the Palouse

From our house to Pullman is a 5 1/2-hour drive. Most of it is through high plains and farm country, called The Palouse. (Appalousa horses, anyone?; they "originated" here.) I didn't speak up fast enough for stopping for photo ops, and "lost" 7 good ones. But here is what we did stop for:

Last week's trip to Molbak's

I was taking photos inside Molbak's; this was my first real outing since being so sick, and I found I ran out of energy really fast, just from hefting my new camera! These gerbera daisies took my breath away with the varities of vibrant colors! These photos are straight from the camera - no color enhancement.

I was experimented with focal points to try to get an abstract look with these calla lilies. I think all I got in the end was just fuzziness! These are not enhanced.

Macro practice

Yesterday, Monday, was my last day of quarrantine! Still housebound, I was really happy to see a stem of dried hydrangea left on our patio from when Dick pruned on the week-end. I snatched it up and put it on a wood table top and sat down to take photos. Natural light; hand-held. Varies from f-4.5 to f11.

I am still so frustrated that I am not getting near the quality for macro with my new camera as I was with the point-n-shoot! Shoot! ML
