FOR FAMILY...JUST A COUPLE

On Christmas Eve we traditionally hold a "family talent show". This year Griffin, 9, performed on his cello. I was so impressed! He is a sensitive musician (I already knew this), but his touch on the cello, which he just started learning 2 months ago, is amazing.Good for you, Griffin! Of course, here is doesn't have the correct seating arrangement, but he adapted well.
And Amanda, 3, couldn't make it past 6 PM Christmas Day. But she is surrounded by comforts: her new softie frog and her real pet cat, and her new laptop.

MERRY CHRISTMAS - AGAIN!

I just posted 6 tree shots to wish you a Merry Christmas from our tree to yours. Again, my blog is clogged. This is so frustrating. Right now I could even be writing just to myself. I am trying again to send, 3 at a time now.

ONE LAST TREE SHOT

Yes, this is a poppy shell. I got the ornament in Hungary. They grow poppies in field after field, so of course, they pop up as wild flowers too. So beautiful! When Heidi visited us in Hungary, we went to a street fair and we each bought one of these.

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM OUR TREE TO YOURS!

Since there is just blah weather outside (forecast is for "maybe" a white Christmas before Christmas day is over!), I shot photos into our tree earlier today.

A TRIAL

Yesterday I posted 8 photos from this outing to Molbak's. None of them show up except for in my private blog spot where I create the blog. So, I am just sending one of them to see if this time it goes through. I can't figure out why they don't display.

MORE FROM MOLBAK'S

My first 4 pics from Molbak's show up in my online blog address, but not here in our RS email posting place - I don't understand. So, these may not go there either. Anyway, just try getting a photo of a reflecting ball without having yourself in it! I finally managed, by sitting right down on the floor; a most undignified position to be in Molbak's, of all places!
The little snowmen just looks to me like they are all giggling, there in a pile. The 3rd shot was by permission of a shopper; this was her basket which looked like an art shot right there. My new favorite poinsettia is the rosy-pink one, shown here in detail.

GETTING IN THE MOOD AT MOLBAK'S

Today, the 14th, Pat and I went to Molbak's in Woodinville, of course, with our cameras! Besides getting photos from all sorts of positions and poses, our browsing got us in a festive holiday mood. It is a magical and delightful place, as some of these shots show. The shooting possibilities are endless, but our energy wasn't! There is always another day.

ASSIGNMENT: SYMBOLIC

I know I don't have to explain the reason for the rainbow; I took this from our front porch. My camera is not equipped to do well with rainbows, but it is certainly symbolic.
The Christmas tree: so many meanings! For me it is ~ peace, joy, beauty, tradition, memories...
